What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a standard and widely accepted form of online business. When we include a special tracking link to a product and you click it and make a purchase, the company pays us a commission as a thank-you for the referral.

This commission comes entirely from the company — not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the company’s website.

No — never. You pay exactly the same price as going directly to the company’s website. Our commission is paid by the company, not by you.

Do you only recommend products you earn commissions from?

No. We review and mention products regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship. Some of our top recommendations have no affiliate program at all.

Can companies pay to be ranked higher?

No. Paid placement disguised as editorial content violates FTC guidelines and our own standards. Rankings are based entirely on merit.
